Call to order.— Chair Cathy Corry called the meeting
to order at 6:30 P.M.

Topic.— Discuss status of Blueprint Commission
recommendations and review draft letter to DJJ regarding status.
(1) Discussion.— Do not to make inflammatory
statements that can not be verified. Stearns to work with Segall
to get examples of what recommendations DJJ has acted upon. Call upon DJJ to
“bring us up to speed” on what they have done about
the commission’s recommendations (i.e. a status report). “Give us the facts.
What have you done?” Keep letter “short and sweet.” “We’d like to keep the
community informed on your progress.” Send this letter, by email, only to
Secretary Peterman.
(2) Action.— Prepare draft letter, based on this workgroup’s
discussion, and present it as a motion under new business for approval at the
council meeting scheduled for 7:00 PM this day (11/20/08).
Adjourn.— The Chair adjourned the meeting at 6:55
PM.
