Executive Committee Meeting

Attendees:
Dave Plyer, Chair
Matt Sullivan, Vice Chair
Cathy Corry, Membership Registrar

Call to Order:
Chair Dave Plyer called the meeting to order at 7:09 p.m. A quorum was established.
Chair announced Carol Schiffler is no longer a Council member and no longer Council Secretary. In the absence of a Secretary, Chair requested that meeting notes be taken by Cathy Corry.

Approve Meeting Minutes:
Minutes of the 8/14/06 Executive Committee meeting were approved as submitted.

New Business:
The Council portion of the 2005-2006 Circuit Board Annual Report was discussed and completed.

Draft agenda for the 9/28/06 Pinellas County Juvenile Justice Council meeting was established. The following agenda topics will be included: motion for proposed Bylaws amendments; officer elections; resolution to approve Council portion of the 2005-2006 Circuit Board Annual Report; October 24th School Board meeting regarding arrest moratorium; juvenile restraints in courtrooms. .

Chair report will include the status of 2007 meeting calendar facility scheduling, Council communication with DJJ regarding Pinellas JDC Superintendent James Uliasz’s DUI arrest, and the Circuit 6 Juvenile Justice Board meeting recap.

Suggestion was made to schedule the 2007 quarterly Executive Committee meetings at the Clearwater East Library or the Safety Harbor Library.

Suggestion was made to submit remaining 2006 Council calendar information to DJJ Prevention Branch for posting on the Boards and Councils page of the DJJ website.
